Hospitable vs Hostaway: start with the reversible option
- Hospitable publishes what each plan includes and offers a self-serve trial.
- Hostaway lists a wider set of channel and operations features, then prices them by quote.
- Hostaway belongs in the final two when a requirement exceeds the public Hospitable plan.

Hospitable is easier to disprove before you buy
Both products are Airbnb management software platforms covering calendars, messages, direct reservations, and operational workflows. The useful difference is easier to verify: Hospitable shows what each named plan includes and offers a trial, while Hostaway lists its features and returns a custom proposal.
That makes Hospitable the sensible first test when a published tier appears to contain the complete job. It is not an overall product verdict. List the channels, software connections, direct-booking needs, and owner reports you require. Use that list to compare the products. A four-listing business with an unusual marketplace or owner-reporting requirement can need the broader demo. A larger business using the channels and workflows included in one Hospitable plan can still evaluate that plan directly.
Ten active properties
Hospitable's plan gate is visible before the trial
Professional: $59 includes two properties, plus eight at $15 = $179 monthly.
Mogul: $99 includes three properties, plus seven at $30 = $309 monthly.
Hostaway: no public dollar price; request the same ten-property scope in the proposal.
Professional is the lower published bill when direct booking and smart-device automation are enough. Mogul is the relevant comparison when you also need owner portal, statements, payouts, and accounting. These calculations use current monthly U.S. list prices and exclude transaction, payment, device, and optional service fees.
What the current public material establishes
| Requirement | Hospitable | Hostaway |
|---|---|---|
| Price before a sales call | Public, localized plans: Essentials, Host, Professional, and Mogul. The calculator changes with property count and billing choices. | No public dollar price. Its form separates 2–14, 15–49, and 50+ listings before requesting a quote. |
| Channel coverage | Its channel manager names Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, and Agoda, plus direct reservations on eligible plans. | Its channel manager names Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Expedia, Google, and additional marketplaces. Each required connection still needs confirmation. |
| Direct-booking site | Included from Professional; Mogul adds a custom-branded site. | A direct-booking site is advertised, but the included scope and price are part of the proposal. |
| Owner and accounting workflow | Mogul lists an owner portal, statements, payouts, and native or QuickBooks accounting. | Owner statements, permissions, exports, and automation are documented; confirm the commercial scope and any accounting add-ons. |
| Evaluation path | Fourteen-day full-feature trial without a credit card. | Questionnaire and sales demo. Require a written scope before comparing cost. |
Hospitable prices are localized and change with the calculator inputs. Hostaway prices are quoted. Use the same property count, channels, payment volume, owners, users, integrations, and contract term.

Build the same evidence record through two different buying paths
- Write one scope. Include ten properties, every required channel and integration, the direct site, users, owners, accounting, onboarding, and contract term.
- Use Hospitable's trial. Configure one representative property and record which requirements work, fail, or require Mogul.
- Use Hostaway's demo. Make sales demonstrate the same representative property and attach the result for each requirement to the proposal.
- Price twelve months. Include transaction, payment, device, onboarding, service, and add-on charges in both totals.
- Keep the record. Save the trial result, demo notes, proposal, renewal formula, and export terms beside the decision.
Choose Hospitable when one named plan contains every required workflow and the trial proves it. Choose Hostaway when a required channel, integration, permission, or owner workflow cannot be proved in that plan and Hostaway demonstrates it in the account you would buy. The Hostaway proposal must identify the twelve-month total, included modules, add-ons, onboarding, renewal terms, and export rights. A longer feature list is not a result.
For a quote-to-quote decision, use the Hostaway vs Guesty contract comparison. If the recurring guest or owner workflow is ready to assign, book a consultation with the tested access boundary.
